The uncle of subways. He is slow but he makes it. The third one to be constructed, it connects the suburbs, Haidian, Chanping, Chaoyang to line 2. Until line 10, line 13 was the lonegst line in Beijing at 40.9 km. It opened in 2002, running in the west, but by 2003 it was completed, and was the first line to adopt the electronic farecard system.

It currently runs through 16 stations and 8 of them transfers.
