Balado kentang udang is originated from Minangkabau ethnic group of Indonesia. It literally means fried potatoes and shrimps covered with sambal (chilli-based sauce). The taste is savory and spicy.

It is a home food and usually eaten with steamed rice as a lunch or dinner menu.
