The unicorn is a mythical horse like creature with a long single straight horn growing from its forehead. It's usually depicted as a fabled white horse symbolic of virginity or purity. It's originally shown as a mythical animal with the body and head of a horse, the hind legs of a stag, the tail of a lion. Unlike most other legendary creatures that are often imagined as a result of human fears, the unicorn was a rather gentle animal. It was considered impossible to capture a unicorn except by using unfair methods. The horn was said to be able to neutralize poison.
