In winter, there are two storm tracks in the Northern Hemisphere centered at about 45°N, one over the Pacific Ocean and the other over the Atlantic Ocean. There is one storm track in the Southern Hemisphere over the South Indian Ocean region at about 50°S prevalent throughout most of the year. 2.
