This section shall establish a uniform system of defining and classifying flammable and combustible liquids for the purpose of proper application of this standard. This section shall apply to any liquid within the scope of and subject to the requirements of this standard. This section shall not apply to mists, sprays, or foams. This section shall not apply to liquids that do not have flash points but are capable of burning under certain conditions, such as certain halogenated hydrocarbons and certain mixtures of flammable or combustible liquids and halogenated hydrocarbons.
