Pinnekjøtt is a traditional Norwegian festive dish, largely assiciated with Christmas celebrations. 31% of all Norwegians say they have this dish as their Christmas dinner. It is mad e of lamb or mutton and usually served with pureed rutabaga, potatoes, beer, wine and akevitt. It is mostly consumed by North- and Western Norwegians, but in the later years it has become more and more common in the East of Norway.
