nutrient concentration vs. content
Concentration is usually expressed in grams per kilogram (g kg-1) or milligrams per kilogram (mg kg-1) of dry or fresh weight; content is usually expressed as weight per unit area (e.g., kg ha-1). These terms should not be used interchangeably with regard to nutrients in plants.
