non-repeated video frame (active frame)

The process of comparing each output video frame with its preceding frame (s) in sequence and quantifying the extent of correspondence between each pair; when there is limited correspondence between a pair of frames (such that the differences measured are distinguishable from the measurement noise,) and the corresponding input sequence of frames possesses distinguishable differences, then the current frame is categorized as an active frame.
