isobutyl carbinol
(CH3)2CH(CH2)2OH Colorless liquid with pungent taste and disagreeable aroma; soluble in alcohol and ether, slightly soluble in water; boils at 132_C; used as a chemical intermediate and solvent, and in pharmaceutical products and medicines. Also known as isoamyl alcohol.
