Yasukuni Shrine

The origin of Yasukuni Shrine is Shokonsha established at Kudan in Tokyo in the second year of the Meiji era (1869) by the will of the Emperor Meiji. In 1879, it was renamed Yasukuni Shrine.

As Japan states that Ysukuni Shrine hese are souls of men who made sacrifice for their nation since 1853 during national crisis such as the Boshin War, the Seinan War, the Sino-Japanese and Russo-Japanese wars, World War I, the Manchurian Incident, the China Incident and the Greater East Asian War (World War II). These people are considered to be completely equal and worshipped as divinities of Yasukuni.

However, from the side of Korea and China, Yasukuni Shrine is the place for mourning the war criminals particularly in WW2. The shrine is rebirth only to justify the totalitarianism of Japan invading neighboring countries. ironically, it it interesting that duplicity of the shrine shows that symbol of the shrine is dove which stands for peace, but surprisingly the exhibits, statue of war criminals, jet fighter, cannon etc, which all should be seen at battle field.
