The god of life, death, and afterlife. He is also known as the god of the flooding of the River Nile. He is the brother and husband of Isis. He and Isis are the parents of Horus. Osiris is the most recognized and widely worshiped Egyptian god. While the living pharaoh is the embodiment of Horus, the dead pharaoh is associated to Osiris.
