Haiti Earthquake
In 2010 a catastrphic 7.0 magnitude earthquake his Haiti, with the epicenter near Leogane (west coast), about 25 km west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti`s capital. It had a depth of 8.1 miles, with 59 aftershocks ranging from 4.2 to 5.9 magnitudes in strength. The strongest earthquake to hit the country since 1770, it had led to over 200,000 deaths, 2 million homeless, and 3 million people in need of emergency aid.
