Gie is an Indonesian film released in 2005, which was directed by Riri Riza. The film is about the story of Soe Hok Gie, a graduate from University of Indonesia who is well-known as a national activist and nature lover. Gie is based on a diary written by So Hok Gie himself, titled Catatan Seorang Demonstran. Nicholas Saputra, who plays Rangga in Ada Apa dengan Cinta?, is trusted to play the character of Gie.
