PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk publicly known as Garuda Indonesia, is the flag carrier of Indonesia. It is named after the mythical giant bird Garuda of Hinduism and Buddhist mythology. Garuda Indonesia is headquartered at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, near Jakarta.

Garuda is currently the official airline partner of Liverpool FC. The airline received its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) in 2008 and 2010. In 2012, the airline officially spun-off its Citilink low-cost operations. On March 5, 2014 Garuda Indonesia became the 20th member of SkyTeam Alliance.
