(Hexahydroxycyclohexane; C 6 H 6 (OH) 6) 1. Eine zyklische Säure, die Bestandteil der bestimmte Zelle Phosphoglycerides ist.
2. A wasserlöslicher Nährstoff häufig bezeichnet als "Vitamin" in pflanzlichen Gewebekultur. Fungiert auch als ein Wachstumsfaktor in einigen Tieren und Mikroorganismen.
