(1) In options trading the subscription ratio specifies how many warrants or certificates are required in order to acquire the right to purchase (call) or sell (put) a share or other underlying at a fixed price. (2) In the case of a capital increase the subscription ratio indicates the relation of the number of old equities to the number of new equities.
